Happy to say… I’m an Ironman x2! 💥

3.8km swim 🏊♀️, 180km bike 🚴♀️, 42km run 🏃♀️ = one very full heart (and sore legs😄)
Going into Ironman Ottawa, I wasn’t even sure I’d finish. Coming out of it, I thought I could’ve done better. Funny how the goals keep changing.
I learned a lot in this race:
🌊 Swimming in waves gave me motion sickness on the run.
🤮 You think you’ve nailed your run nutrition—until you gag at one more gummy.
🔥 My body and humidity… not exactly best friends.
But the best part? The support.
Scott was there at every stage cheering me on, and I could feel the support from back home. I love the triathlon community. I met incredible, welcoming people in Ottawa—from locals, to someone I’d only met online, to a guy starting his 13th Ironman and heading to Kona!
Right after the race I told Scott, “Never again.”
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned… never say never.
I did this race as a way to say goodbye to my 30s and welcome my 40s. The oldest athlete out there was 83 so I know I got more Ironmans in me.😄 As the slogan goes: Anything is possible.
Until then,
Fill your jar with the things you love to do!
And keep being you, the world needs more you!🌻❤️
