Free Monday Night Yoga. Why I Started It

ree

There is something special about gathering together on a Monday night. The week is just getting started and everyone is settling back into their routines. I know the feeling of being pulled in a hundred directions, and I also know how much a short twenty minute practice can shift your energy and set the pace for the days ahead.

That is why I decided to offer Free Monday Night Yoga. It is a short online class at 7:30 pm Saskatchewan Time. We move. We stretch. We breathe. Nothing complicated. Nothing fancy. Just twenty minutes to reset your mind and your body so you can start your week feeling ready and supported from the inside out.

If you want to learn more about my own journey with yoga and triathlon, you can visit my About Me page.

I wanted to create something that people could join from the comfort of their home. A place where you can settle in just as you are, using whatever you have at home from pillows to blankets to a chair. No judgement, no expectations. Just space to move in a way that feels good.

The idea came from seeing how busy life can get and how tricky it is for many people to fit in a full hour class at a studio. Sometimes all you want is something that feels doable in the middle of everything else you have going on.

As a triathlete and a yoga instructor, I have seen how helpful short sessions can be for everyday people who want to move, stretch, and feel better in their bodies. And for athletes, including triathletes, these shorter practices can also support recovery and help reduce the risk of injury.

Every Monday night has grown into a small but meaningful part of my week. I might not see everyone on camera, but I feel the shared energy of people joining from their own homes and creating a moment for themselves. And of course Maple and Walnut like to make an appearance from time to time which always adds a bit of fun and real life to the practice.

My hope is that these sessions give you a place to slow down before the week speeds up. A place where you can reconnect with your breath, release tension, and remember that caring for yourself does not need to be complicated or time consuming.

If you want to join in, you can register for Free Monday Yoga here. I would love to see you there.

Until then,

Fill your jar with the things you love to do!

And keep being you, the world needs more you!🌻❤️

I absolutely loved the last twenty minute yoga class in the basement with my dog - she likes lying down and getting in the way. It’s the perfect time and duration. Helps me sleep too, thank you 🙏🏼
