The Beginning...
I have a confession to make. I have had a love affair with yoga since I first began practicing at the World Gym in Saskatoon, way back in 2012.
When my favorite yoga instructor left World Gym to open his own studio, I was disheartened. I didn’t want another gym membership, so I stepped away from yoga to train for triathlons instead. I know, quite a reversal!
Although I still loved yoga, I also love the hard work and determination involved in triathlon training, and I set a lofty goal to focus on. In the summer of 2017, I accomplished this goal when I finished my first Ironman race (3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42km run all one day!)

After training for so long, and having an insanely focused regimen to prepare for my Ironman, I felt a little bit lost when it was over. What was next?
How I found Yoga, Again!
2 weeks after I finished my Ironman, I remembered my love for yoga, and decided to incorporate it back into my life. I have been hooked ever since, and I’m not letting this one get away again!

With a society that is constantly moving in a fast pace, it can be hard to slow your mind down and let yourself relax into the practice of yoga.
I found it hard to be still in the first few minutes of class, after being on the go for years. But it is in the stillness that I found the secret.
Yoga is not just about the practice. Each practice offers the opportunity to look within ourselves to learn valuable insights, and then apply those to our daily life.
My Mission
Once I re-committed to Yoga, I was excited to then become a yoga teacher, so that I could share my passion with others.
I truly believe that everyone can benefit from the practice of yoga, and it is my goal to help my students experience the physical and mental benefits in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Above all, my goal is for my students to feel good from the inside out, to leave my class feeling strong, healthy, and inspired. To reach their goals and dreams (and to spread love and kindness)
We are all on this journey together, so let’s lift each other up and embrace all the of benefits that the Yoga has to offer.
