80/20 triathlon training rule

Around 80 percent of your training is easy, steady sessions that build endurance, strength, and resilience.

 

The other 20 percent is where you push, shorter focused efforts that move the needle when your body is ready.

This balance keeps you consistent, reduces injury risk, and helps you show up strong, not run down, on race day.

 

I use this method in every program I design, adjusting for your goals, schedule, and energy levels so your training fits your life, not the other way around.

Ready-to-follow plans built using the 80/20 Endurance Method for Sprint, Olympic, Half Ironman, or Ironman distance. Each plan is available in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Designed to balance training load and recovery so you can build endurance and speed without burnout.

1:1 Coaching

Athletes who want accountability, connection, and a coach who understands how to fit training into real life.

Fully personalized coaching built around your life, goals, and schedule. Each plan includes ongoing adjustments, feedback, and accountability. You can choose the level of support that fits you best, whether it’s unlimited email access, meeting once a month on Zoom, or meeting every two weeks for extra support and connection.

Swim Technique Sessions

Triathletes who want to improve confidence and form in the water or prepare for open water races.

In-person or video-based sessions focused on stroke efficiency, pacing, and confidence in the water. You’ll get clear feedback, drills, and simple cues that help you swim stronger and smoother.
